Artist Statement:
Namaskar (Greetings),
This is one of my dreams come true. As I present my first solo exhibition, I invite you to the many mediums of creativity that have shaped my ongoing artistic journey. The collection showcases human emotion and the interaction between self-identity and the world that surrounds us.
This union of multiple mediums – acrylic paintings, digital art, charcoal, graphite, clay, video installations, and color pencil artworks – reflects the modes through which I explore the details of the human psyche, the beauty of nature, and the expressions of diverse emotions.
Many of these pieces originated as assignments during the first and second year of undergraduate fine arts program, where the academic content merged seamlessly with personal exploration. The academic exercises and professors at Brandon University helped me learn various ways to express myself on paper with the help of different formal choices and decision making in the art process. This exhibition is an exploration of creation and introspection. I invite everyone to explore my perspective of different human experiences, where every stroke, pixel, and contour echoes our shared emotions.
I extend my gratitude to everyone who has inspired me and supported me in my art practice. I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for you.
